Panduit Thought Leaders to Share Latest Leading Edge Innovations

Panduit Corp., an industry leader in data center and enterprise infrastructure, announced that two of their thought leaders will participate at the 2016 Optical Fiber Communication (OFC) Conference and Exposition at the Anaheim Convention Center from March 20-24.
“OFC is the premier conference on optical communications that brings together thought leaders from across the globe to share innovations and breakthroughs driving tomorrow’s optical networks”, said Andy Stroede, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Panduit Research and Development. “Our longstanding commitment to research and development of fiber optic products, along with our deep collaboration with academic and industry leaders, allows us to bring innovative solutions that solve business problems for our customers.”
This year, Panduit’s speakers include Dr. Brett Lane, Director of Technology at Panduit, who will speak in the session on “Field Trial Deployments of Advanced Fiber,” and present “Wide Bandwidth Multimode Fiber (WB MMF) and Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) Systems for Future Data Center Networks”. Dr. Lane brings extensive expertise to this session as he is currently chairing the Joint Task Group within the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) that is finalizing the standard on WB MMF. He will also speak during the session “Ethernet Fiber Optic Cabling Trends” and review product trends within the data center including Panduit’s innovative HD FlexTM and PanMPOTM products which provide customers with an agile and scalable migration path to tomorrow’s high bit rate applications. Finally, Dr. Lane will preside over the session: “Advances in Optical Connectivity” which includes Panduit’s contributions on next generation fiber optic connectors.
Another distinguished speaker, Dr. Jose Castro, Research Manager, Fiber Optics will present in the session: “Advanced Modulation for Data Center, Interconnects”. His presentation titled, “200m 2x50Gbps Pulse Amplitude Modulation-4 (PAM-4) Short Wavelength Division Multiplexing (SWDM) Transmission over Wide Bandwidth Multimode Fiber (WB MMF) using Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers (VCSELs) and Pre-distortion Signal” summarizes the experimental demonstration of next generation transmission technology for the data center. Dr. Castro will be also be presiding over the session titled “Advanced Modulation for Data Center Interconnects III” which will include other important contributions on this industry effort.
